Employees Should Be Paid For Unused Vacation Time Essay

Employees who are terminated because they are not in good standing with the Practice are not entitled to payment for unused vacation time. Employees who have met all the above conditions will be paid only for any unused vacation days they have earned during the calendar year in which their employment terminates. PTO may not be paid upon termination of employment or at the end of the calendar year. Please review the attached Addendum A for State accrued Vacation Pay Laws. 3.16 GRANDFATHERING VACATION/SICK/PTO AARA understands that some practices may have had a different vacation, sick and/or PTO policy which accrues at a different rate. For employees hired before May 13, 2016, they may choose to stay on the practice’s original accrual policy. This would replace the vacation and PTO/sick accrual hours stated in items 3.13 and 3.15. The employee may not choose to combine their original policy with AARA’s current vacation and/or PTO/sick accrual. The employees of any new practice coming on board may also choose to stay on the practice’s original vacation, sick and/or PTO policy. This would replace the vacation and PTO/sick accrual hours stated in items 3.13 and 3.15.
